Our History: The Establishment of State Council
 

 

  • 1997-2000

    The total number of honourable members in the first period was 42 under the chairmanship of His Excellency Sheikh Hamoud bin Abdullah
    Al-Harthy

  • 2000-2003

    The number of members of the State Council in the Second Period was 55  under the chairmanship of His Excellency Sheikh Hamoud bin Abdullah
    Al-Harthy

  • 2003-2007

    The number of the members  in the Third Period increased to 61; compared to the Second Period , where the numbers was 55  members under the chairmanship of His Excellency Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh  Al-Manthri

  • 2007-2011

    The number of members of the State Council in the Fourth Period reached 72  under the chairmanship   of His Excellency Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh  Al-Manthri

     

  • 2011-2015

    The number of members in the Fifth Period  increased  to 83 under the chairmanship of His Excellency Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh  Al-Manthri

  • 2015-2019

    The number of members of the Sixth Period has reached 85  under the chairmanship of His Excellency Dr. Yahya bin Mahfoudh  Al-Manthri

  • 2019-2023

    The number of members in the seventh term reached 85 members, and the first session of the term witnessed the issuance of Royal Decree No. 112/2020 appointing His Excellency Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Abdullah Al Khalili as Chairman of the State Council.

  • 2023-2027

    The Eighth  Term of the State Council has 86 Members ,Chaired by  His Excellency Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al-Khalili.
