State Council Bureau discusses topics proposed for study during the current session

The State Council Bureau today, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 discussed a number of topics proposed to study during the current session, in its first meeting for the second annual session of the seventh term, chaired by HE. Sheikh Abdul-Malik bins Abdullah Al-Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, in the presence of the honorable members of the Bureau and the Secretary-General of the Council.
In this regard, the Bureau hosted Head of the Culture, Information and Tourism Committee, and the Committee’s rapporteur, to discuss with them the topics proposed by the committee for study during the second annual session of the seventh period.
During the meeting, the Council’s Bureau hosted the Social Committee Head and the Committee’s Rapporteur, to discuss with them the issue of letters and requests submitted by the committee to discuss with them the topics and proposals submitted by the committee which it intends to study during the current annual session.
The Bureau also discussed the work program of the Council’s Standing Committees during the current annual session. The meeting also dealt with the report submitted by the Expanded Economic Committee on “The Annual Report of the State Financial and Administrative Supervision Authority for the year 2018.”
The Bureau reviewed several reports submitted by members regarding their participation in International and Arab parliamentary meetings, in addition to the follow-up report on the decisions taken in the previous Bureau meeting and the report on the follow-up of the committees' activities during the period between the previous Bureau meeting and the present meeting.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Council’s Bureau set the date and agenda items for the third Ordinary Sitting of the second annual session of the seventh term.
